Transylvania Vocational Services (TVS) is the largest manufacturer in Transylvania County. With the new acquisition of Dover Foods in Mills River, TVS now employs over 300 individuals and is continuing to expand their mission into the neighboring county. TVS is a social enterprise with the mission of supporting individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

To support the mission, TVS produces dry baking mixes for American troops worldwide, instant nonfat dry milk (INDM) for food pantries across the US and SuperCereal Plus for food insecure areas across the world. SuperCereal Plus is a nutrient rich food for infants facing malnutrition and starvation. TVS continues to add production capabilities for their commercial work. This includes blending, encapsulation, and packaging of dietary supplements for popular commercial businesses.

The mission does not end at the door, TVS operates five different programs including two onsite day programs ( Life Skills and INTERACT), two residential group homes, and contracts with NC Vocational Rehabilitation supporting VR clients in finding and keeping community jobs and in the schools to Transylvania and Henderson County. Additionally, we work with qualified IEP or 504-plan students to help guide their transition to life after school.

What is BAH?
Held on the second Tuesday of each month, members come together for an evening networking reception. A brief program includes recognition of the host, announcements, new member introductions and door prizes. This event is ideal for a business or organization who wants to show off its facilities.
