The holiday season is here, and the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Shop Local Holiday Giveaway, a celebration of our vibrant local business community. This year, 19 businesses in Transylvania County have joined forces as part of the Think Local Transylvania initiative to promote the joy of shopping local.

HOW TO PLAY
The promotion runs Friday, November 24 through Friday, December 15 and includes two ways to “play”: the Shop Local Passport and the Holiday Stocking Hunt.
SHOP LOCAL PASSPORTS
Shoppers can pick up a Shop Local Passport at the Visitor Center, at participating business locations, or clip one from our weekly Transylvania Times ads to collect stamps through purchases at participating business locations (limit one stamp per person per day at each business location). Full Passports must be returned to the Visitor Center at 175 E. Main Street in Brevard by noon on December 15 to be entered to win one of two drawings for $250 in Transylvania Bucks. Shoppers may complete multiple Passports for multiple chances to win.
HOLIDAY STOCKING HUNT
Starting on Friday, November 24, 15 special holiday stockings will be hidden with care at randomly selecte
d participating business locations. (HINT: Look for the “Think Local” logo on the stocking!) Folks are encouraged to hunt for the special stockings while they browse and shop; no purchase is necessary to play! When a stocking is found, an insert will provide instructions on how to claim the prize of $50 in Transylvania Bucks. Found stockings must be returned to the Visitor Center by noon on December 15. Stocking prizes are limited to one per person.
TRANSYLVANIA BUCKS
Transylvania Bucks can be used just like cash at participating business locations through December 31. Transylvania Bucks will be in $25 increments.
Businesses are welcome to make change, but are not required to do so.
