About our speakers:
After eight years serving as executive director of the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, Clark Lovelace was appointed as the executive director of the Transylvania County Tourism and Development Authority (TCTDA) in 2022. The mission of the TCTDA is to generate and enhance tourism opportunities in Transylvania County through promotions with tourism-related businesses and local government. The organization is funded through a 5% occupancy tax on overnight visitors to Transylvania County accommodations and annually sets aside funds for projects and grants supporting tourism-oriented events and initiatives.
Nicole Bentley started as executive director of Heart of Brevard in 2020 after 15 years of not-for-profit experience in cultivating stakeholder relationships, community fundraising, marketing, and downtown association administration and planning. HOB, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, works to strengthen and promote its historic downtown, cradled by the Pisgah National Forest, as the vibrant, pedestrian/cycle friendly safe center of its community, lined with diverse independent businesses, and serving as the crossroads to exceptional outdoor recreation and as a thriving hub for the arts.
