Please join us for Coffee Connections on April 25 at 8am at the Brevard/ Transylvania Chamber of Commerce! Mark Tooley will be speaking about the Ecusta Trail.
Mark is recently retired, a resident of Transylvania County, and current President of the Friends of Ecusta Trail. He’s served on various boards in the community including Conserving Carolina, Transylvania Economic Alliance, and Transylvania County‘s Planning Board, Natural Resources Council, and Transportation Advisory Committee. He is currently serving on the City of Brevard’s Ecusta Trail Advisory Board.
The Friends of the Ecusta Trail (FOET) was formed in 2009 by a group of individuals from Henderson and Transylvania Counties who were advocating for the conversion of the unused rail line between Brevard and Hendersonville to a rail trail. In 2021, after the purchase of the rail line by a subsidiary of Conserving Carolina, FOET and Conserving Carolina initiated a capital campaign to raise funds for the construction of the Ecusta Trail.
Mark will discuss important updates and the latest information about the Ecusta Trail progress.
